Information Return of a 25% Foreign-Owned US Corporation

In more detail

Form 5472 captures transactions between a reporting US corporation and related foreign parties — loans, sales, services, rent and similar. It applies to US corporations that are at least 25% foreign-owned, and to foreign-owned single-member US LLCs, which are treated as reporting corporations for this purpose. For a UK resident who owns a US LLC or corporation, this is a common and easily-missed obligation. Penalties for non-filing are substantial and begin per form.
